Not of This World

1 John 2:15–17

The world constantly tells us to chase what won't last.

More success. More comfort. More recognition. More possessions. It promises that if we have just one more thing, we'll finally be satisfied. But John reminds us that everything this world offers is temporary.

"The world is passing away along with its desires..." (1 John 2:17)

That doesn't mean God's creation is bad. It means the values of this fallen world—its pride, selfish ambition, and empty promises—are opposed to God. When our hearts are set on those things, we've settled for what will eventually fade away.

As Christians, we've been given something far greater.

Our citizenship isn't rooted here. Through Christ, we've been made citizens of heaven (Philippians 3:20). We are pilgrims passing through, looking forward to the kingdom that cannot be shaken.

That's the heart behind this design.

The passport stamp is a reminder that this world is not our home. Every time you wear it, remember where your hope is found—not in the things that are passing away, but in Christ, whose kingdom will never end.
